Expression of Sialyl-Tn Antigen in Several Breast Cancer Cell Lines.

Examining closely the expression pattern of sialyl-Tn antigen at various breast cancer cell lines. Simultaneously with seeing that the cell surface expression of specific tumor antigen is increased by monoclonal antibody when human
leukocyte(clone
A)
interferon(IFN-αA) is treated in breast cancer cell. The author carried out this experiment to find out which breast cancer cell line is best for IFN-αA treatment experiment among them.
As a method to find out the expression of sialyl-Tn antigen, the author used immunohistochemistry(avidin-biotin method) after making cytospin slides with each different 8 types of breast cancer cell lines.
It has been proved that BT474 breast cancer cell line is the most suitable to IFN-αA treatment among such breast cancer cell lines of 8 types and staining pattern of T 47 breast cancer cell line came to show particular typical membraneous
staining
pattern.
